Virtual Console- och WiiWare-spel betalas i Wii Points och DSiWare i DSi Points, en valuta som bara gäller i Wii Shop Channel och DSi Shop. För att skaffa Wii Points måste du antingen köpa ett Nintendo Points Card ute i butik, eller köpa Wii Points direkt i Wii Shop Channel med VISA- eller Mastercard-kort.
