Dog-Gone! | Zelda: Link's Awakening Remake 100% Walkthrough "3/22" (No Commentary)
In this part, we arrive back in Mabe Village only to find out that Moblins attacked and dognapped BowWow from Madam MeowMeow. Before taking action, we head over to the Trendy Game and play the crane game to get the Goomba Figure. We then play the game a few more times in order to both gain experience for the future when we go after more Figures, and to grind up to 200 Rupees. Once we have said 200 Rupees in hand, we head up to the Item Shop and buy the Deluxe Shovel. I also show that it is possible to steal from the shop just as you could in the former game, but there is a price to pay. After reloading the non-theft file, we head to Tarin and Marin's house and place the Goomba Figure. We then head off to the Mysterious Forest and use the Deluxe Shovel (I'll simply refer to it as the Shovel from here out for ease) and dig in the center of a group of blue flowers to find our 3rd Secret Seashell. Moving on, we head to the northeast of the Forest to exit by the Witch's Hut, but jump over the pit to get our 5th Piece of Heart. Going north from the Piece of Heart, we enter Tal Tal Heights and go east to a cave. Inside the cave we fight off the Moblins and the King Moblin in order to rescue BowWow. With BowWow by our side, we meet up with Dampe and agree to come back and talk to him at a later date. Before doing anything else, we take a detour through the haunted forest and get our 6th Piece of Heart as well as dig up our 4th Secret Seashell. We then loop back through the forest and find our 5th Secret Seashell buried underground near the exit of the forest. Exiting the forest, we head slightly east and jump over behind the Telephone House to find our 6th Secret Seashell buried underground under a bit of grass. Moving on, we finally enter Gogonpa Swamp and have BowWow eat the plants blocking our way. After grabbing a few rupees, BowWow eats the formation of plants blocking the entrance to the 2nd Dungeon, Bottle Grotto.Collectibles: 8

- Notes -
- There are many ways to make rupees, such as finding them in Chests, or by becoming skilled in the Trendy Game and going for the Purple Rupee inside. Grinding this can get you the Piece of Heart or Deluxe Shovel for 200 Rupees, or even the Bow and Arrow for 980 Rupees.
- The Deluxe Shovel, as expected, allows us to dig underground. We may find hearts, rupees, enemies, occasionally Secret Seashells depending on location, or nothing at all.
- As shown in the video, it is possible to steal any item you like from the Item Shop. This may be tempting to do, especially in the case of the Bow and Arrow that appears after the Deluxe Shovel is bought as it costs 980 Rupees, however it comes at a cost. If you successfully steal an item, you get to keep it for free, however, your name will be changed to THIEF permanently and if you re-enter the Item Shop, the Shopkeeper will kill you.
- Once rescued, BowWow will randomly eat nearby enemies in one bite. This is required to enter the 2nd Dungeon as it's entrance is blocked by plants that only BowWow can remove. On a side note, if you pass by a Secret Seashell that is buried underground, BowWow will alert you to it's location and tell you to dig there.
